Smith led the Gannon women's volleyball team to a 3-1 record last weekend while co-hosting the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational at the Hammermill Center. The Lady Knights started the weekend by sweeping Glenville State, Hillsdale and St. Michael's (Vt.). Smith averaged 2.64 kills and 3.45 digs per set while producing a .366 hitting percentage. The sophomore outside hitter also recorded four service aces, three assists and one block during the weekend. She began the event with an unbelievable .692 hitting percentage during a sweep of Glenville State, recording nine kills and no errors in 13 attempts while adding eight digs. Smith almost duplicated the effort during another sweep of St. Michael's, generating a .636 hitting percentage with seven kills and no errors in 11 attempts. She concluded the weekend against Findlay with her first career double-double, finishing with career-highs in kills (11) and digs (21).
