Ciotti finished runner-up in the 133-pound division at the 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Wrestling Championships hosted last Saturday by Lock Haven University. The freshman recorded Gannon's best conference finish since Ethan Swope placed second in the 149-pound division at the 2010 PSAC Championships. Ciotti finished runner-up with a 3-1 record, advancing to the finals with three convincing victories. He opened the day with a 19-1 technical fall of Mercyhurst's Gage Nicolella, before posting a 12-2 major decision against the region's eighth-ranked wrestler in Kutztown's Lucas Miller. Ciotti then pinned Shippensburg's Cole Rush during the semifinals with 16 seconds remaining. His championship bid fell short with a 12-4 loss to Korbin Myers of NCAA Division I Edinboro during the title bout. Ciotti is 15-2 this season with his only losses coming against an NCAA Division I wrestler and the second-ranked wrestler in NCAA Division II. Ciotti has won recorded his 15 victories with nine pins, two technical falls, two major decisions and two normal decisions.
