Budd, ranked fourth in NCAA Division II Super Region One, went 2-0 last Saturday during a wrestling tri-meet at No. 24 Shippensburg with Millersville. The redshirt junior opened the day with a 5-4 victory against Millersville’s David Wuestner, ranked seventh in NCAA Division II Super Region One. His victory got Gannon on the board after Millersville had opened a 12-0 lead and started a 15-0 run. Budd once again got Gannon on the board against Shippensburg after the Golden Knights had fallen behind 6-0. He helped Gannon rally for a 26-15 victory against the nationally-ranked Raiders. After redshirting last year, Budd improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in dual matches. He owns 63 overall victories and 16 dual wins during his career. Budd qualified for the national championships after a runner-up up finish at the regional championships in 2015.
