Rehrer led the Gannon men's water polo team to a third-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Western Division Championships last weekend at Cathedral Prep High School's David M. Hallman III Aquatics Center. The sophomore goalkeeper began the weekend with 12 saves against rival Mercyhurst, before adding 21 stops during a 14-7 victory against Salem International in the third-place match. His saves against SIU came in 28 minutes of action between the pipes. Rehrer then played in the field for the final four minutes and scored his third career goal. As a result of his weekend play, Rehrer was named to the MAWPC All-Tournament second team. He concluded the 2016 campaign with 260 saves, representing the third-highest single-season total in program history. Rehrer has 470 saves through his first two collegiate seasons, ranking third all-time at Gannon.
