Hoffman hit .353 with a .529 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage as the Gannon baseball team split six games last week. The senior first baseman hit .308 with runners on base, .444 (4-9) with runners in scoring position and .444 (4-9) with two outs. He concluded the week by going 5-for-9 during the final three games of the Lock Haven series. Hoffman helped spur a come-from-behind 10-9 victory during Saturday’s second game as the Golden Knights scored eight runs in the final two innings. Down 7-1, Hoffman had a two-out, RBI single in the fifth. He added a two-out, two-run double in the sixth. Down 9-7 in the seventh, Hoffman was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. He finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBI. All four RBI came with two outs. During a 5-4 loss at Alderson-Broaddus earlier in the week, Hoffman recorded a two-out, two-run double during a three-run rally in the seventh inning. Hoffman is one of two Golden Knights hitting .300 or better this season. He is second on the team in RBI (17), total bases (34) and slugging percentage (.425). Hoffman leads the team in on-base percentage (.437).
