Adams had arguably the most impact on the game among defensive players on either side during a 34-12 victory last Saturday against Seton Hill. The redshirt senior linebacker finished with eight tackles, two sacks, four tackles for a loss and one forced fumble. With Gannon leading 10-3 in the second quarter, he made a stop on third-and-six from the Gannon 26-yard line that resulted in a three-yard loss. One play later, Seton Hill turned the ball over on downs as the Golden Knights held onto a seven-point lead. With Gannon leading 17-6 late in the third quarter and Seton Hill facing third-and-10 from the Golden Knights’ 35-yard line, Adams sacked the Seton Hill quarterback for a nine-yard loss and forced a fumble. He later added a second sack that resulted in a 14-yard loss during the fourth quarter. Adams was consistent throughout with two tackles during the first quarter, three in the second quarter and two in the third quarter. He had 4.5 tackles for a loss during the opening six contests, before recording four against Seton Hill. Adams also finished with two sacks after entering the weekend with one.
