Zanders II was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Defensive Player of the Week after recording a team-best 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss (5 yards) and one interception during Gannon's come-from-behind 30-27 overtime victory against Bloomsburg. The senior safety opened the game with six tackles during the first quarter. He then produced five stops during the second half as Gannon limited the Huskies to only one touchdown after a bad snap on a punt turned the ball over on the one-yard line. With the game tied at seven and Bloomsburg driving inside the Gannon 30-yard line late in the first quarter, Zanders II intercepted a pass at the 20-yard line. The Golden Knights turned the interception into a scoring drive that gave them a 14-7 lead at the time. Zanders' season-high 12 tackles were his most since having 16 at Southern Connecticut State during the 2015 season opener. He surged into Gannon's all-time top five in tackles, finishing the game with 282 career stops. His 11 career interceptions rank fifth all-time at Gannon.
