Sebald led the No. 13 Gannon women’s basketball team to a perfect 2-0 record during the first week of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action. The week included victories against Slippery Rock (69-48) and rival Mercyhurst (68-65). Sebald averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 rebounds during the two-game stretch. The senior guard was a key catalyst during the Lady Knights’ victory at crosstown rival Mercyhurst, scoring a season-high 19 points in 19 minutes off the bench. The Lady Knights erased a six-point Mercyhurst advantage with a 16-0 run during the final two minutes of the opening half to take a 32-25 lead. Accounting for nine of those 16 points, Sebald capped the run with a three-pointer. With the game later tied at 57, she scored on consecutive layups to put Gannon in front, 61-57, with 3:43 left. Sebald scored the Lady Knights' final four points to seal the win, hitting both free throw attempts with eight seconds left to secure the victory. In the win, she also registered a season-best six rebounds to bring her career total to 300. Sebald went a perfect 8-for-8 at the foul line, marking a career best in free throws made during a single game. She added a steal and an assist against the Lakers. Sebald began the week with six points and a rebound against Slippery Rock.
