Gabrielle Borza earned a PSAC-qualifying time during a first-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke as the No. 25 Gannon women's swim team dropped a 116-80 decision to NCAA Division I opponent Canisius on January 11. Borza was also part of the 400-yard medley relay that opened the dual with a first-place performance with a time of 4:03.75. During the holiday break, Borza and the Lady Knights competed in the National Training Center Winter Sprint Meet against Notre Dame (Ohio) and Lynn on January 4 at the National Training Center. No team scores were kept in the sprint meet. In her lone individual race, Borza captured first place (1:24.12) in the 100-yard breaststroke, holding a five-second lead over the runner-up.
