Wiesen helped the Gannon baseball team split four games last weekend, winning two of three against Mansfield before dropping a 9-3 decision at NCAA Division I Canisius. The freshman third baseman hit .563 with a .625 slugging percentage and a .563 on-base percentage in four games. He recorded multiple hits during three of those four game. Wiesen has recorded a hit during 20 of 24 games this season. He raised his average 50 points last week to .349 for the season. The Girard, Ohio, native began the week by going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI during a come-from-behind 5-4 victory against Mansfield. The performance included an RBI single during a five-run seventh that cut the deficit to 4-3. He later scored the winning run from second base on a one-out single for a 5-4 win. Wiesen went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI at Mansfield the next day, before recorded three of Gannon’s four hits at NCAA Division I Canisius on Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with one RBI against the Golden Griffins.
