Papich led the No. 6 Gannon women's basketball team to a split last week, falling at two-time defending PSAC champion Edinboro (65-52) and defeating California (Pa.) (65-53) at home. The junior forward averaged 15.5 and six rebounds during two games. She shot 58.8 percent (10-17) from the field, 50 percent (1-2) from three-point range and 76.9 percent (10-13) from the free throw line for the week. Papich opened the week with 12 points and four rebounds during a loss at Edinboro that snapped Gannon’s 14-game win streak. She followed with a game-high 19 points and eight rebounds against California (Pa.). Papich went 6-of-9 from the field, 1-of-1 from three-point range and 6-of-8 from the free throw line against the Vulcans.
