Blake helped the Gannon women’s basketball team extend its win streak to 12 games last weekend with a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover victories against 22nd-ranked Bloomsburg (72-68) and Mansfield (80-49). The sophomore forward averaged 14 points and six rebounds in two games off the bench. She shot 56.3 percent (9-16) from the field and 71.4 percent (10-14) from the free throw line. Blake began the week with 16 points and nine rebounds against Bloomsburg and came up big at the free throw line down the stretch. Entering the game as a 59-percent free throw shooter, Blake went 6-of-6 from the line in the final 2:31 to help erase a deficit and then ice the victory. The Jersey City, N.J., native had 12 points against Mansfield, draining 6-of-7 shots. Blake has reached double digits in scoring eight times, including each of the last four off the bench.
