Sophomore Lauren Sazama helped the Gannon volleyball team to a perfect 4-0 weekend during PSAC East-West Crossover play last weekend. Sazama recorded double-digit kills during each match as the Lady Knights swept Shippensburg, Millersville, Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg. Sazama has 11 straight matches with double-digit kills and 13 overall this season. The outside hitter recorded five aces against both Shippensburg and Millersville, recording 11 total in four matches. Gannon scored 21 points off Sazama’s serves against Shippensburg and Millersville. She earned her seventh double-double of the season against Lock Haven with 13 kills and 12 digs. In addition, she hit .250 or better during each match including .429 against East Strousburg and .379 against Lock Haven. Sazama finished the weekend with 53 kills and 35 digs. She now totals 204 kills, 163 digs and 41 aces this season. Sazama is averaging 3.46 kills per set, 0.69 aces per set and 2.76 digs per set.
