Tyler Hollingsworth led the Gannon men's soccer team to a perfect 2-0 week, helping the Golden Knights open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play with a pair victories over California (Pa.) and Shippensburg. Both decisions came by scores of 3-2. His effort last week also earned him PSAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week honors. Against California, Hollingsworth scored goals less than two minutes apart to tie and take the lead, helping the Golden Knights rally from an early 1-0 deficit. The sophomore midfielder got the scoring started for Gannon against Shippensburg, scoring the first goal in the 11th minute. Hollingsworth’s six points in two matches this week tripled his point total from all of 2009. Currently Hollingsworth has four goals, one assist and nine points this season.
