Tomko hit a team-high .333 during a four-game series against California (Pa.) last weekend. The freshman rightfielder recorded four hits, driving in two runs. Among the hits was a double. He also walked twice. Tomko had a hit and two RBI in the first game of the series and then went 2-3 with a double in Saturday’s opening contest. He is hitting .316 with a .480 slugging percentage and .362 on-base percentage through 34 games of his freshman campign. The Sharon, Pa., native is hitting .386 (22-57) with runners on base, .429 (3-7) with the bases loaded and .350 (14-40) with runners in scoring position.
