Davis enters his first season on the Gannon coaching staff after compiling a loaded professional resume. He will coach the wide receivers during his first year.
Davis most recently spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach in NFL Europe, tutoring tight ends for the Cologne Centurions in 2007 and running backs for the Amsterdam Admirals in 2005 and 2006.
His responsibilities with the Cologne Centurions included coaching tight ends, evaluating and ranking players for the NFL Europe Draft, and evaluating players for daily roster recommendations. Davis also worked closely with the Offensive Coordinator to develop game plans and assisted with special teams.
As a coach for the Amsterdam Admirals, Davis handled the same responsibilities in addition to coordinating the kickoff and kickoff return teams. In 2005, the Admirals led the league in rushing yards en route to the World Bowl Championship.
Prior to his coaching days, Davis had a standout collegiate and professional playing career. He played tight end in the Big East Conference for Division I Temple (1996-98), before playing professionally for the San Diego Chargers (NFL) and Edmonton Eskimos (CFL).
Davis played in 11 games as a tight end and H-back for San Diego in 1998. He then served as a fullback for Edmonton in 2002, making eight catches and carrying the ball 23 times. He recorded two rushing touchdowns for the Eskimos.
