Heintz begins her second season as an assistant on the Gannon coaching staff, but she is no stranger to the program. The former defender was an All-American as a senior and four-year letterwinner (2004-07) for the Lady Knights. She played in 60 career matches, starting 51.
The Webster, N.Y., native was one of the best defenders in school history. Heintz led the country in ground balls per match (3.94) during her senior season in 2007. She was named to the IWLCA All-South region first team and the IWLCA Academic honor roll that season.
As a junior, Heintz earned IWLCA All-South region second-team honors. She was selected to the IWLCA Academic honor roll and the WomensLacrosse.com All-America second team.
