Taylor Brown enters her fourth year at Gannon University in 2026-27 and serves as the Associate Director for Sports Information & Media Relations. After being promoted from Assistant Director of Athletics Creative Media & Communications in December 2024, she supports Gannon's 23 varsity athletic programs, overseeing media relations, statistical reporting, graphic design, social media strategy and content creation, livestream operations, game-day communications, and the creation of written content promoting Gannon Athletics.
Brown coordinates media relations efforts for Gannon, conference and NCAA championship events and oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of the department's student/game staff. She is an active member of College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Prior to joining Gannon, Brown spent six years at her alma mater, Muskingum University. She served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, assisting with the promotion and coverage of the Fighting Muskies' 25 varsity athletic programs through media relations, statistical reporting, graphic design, social media content, written feature stories and game recaps, and game-day operations.
Brown began her career in Muskingum's Sports Information Office as a freshman in the fall of 2017, assisting with statistics, game-day operations, and athletic communications efforts. She was also a member of the Muskingum softball team during the 2018 season. As a senior in 2021, Brown was recognized with Muskingum's Muskie of the Year Award, the university's highest leadership honor.
A native of Ravenna, Ohio, Brown is a graduate of James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Muskingum University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Communication and Sport Administration and earned a Master of Adult Education degree in 2023.
