Gannon head Acrobatics & Tumbling coach Addy Womeldorph has announced the hiring of Megan Revell as the program's Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach.
Revell returns to the Golden Knights after serving as the program's student volunteer coach during the 2025-26 season under first-year head coach Addy Womeldorph.
She helped guide Gannon to a 6-4 overall record, a perfect 5-0 mark at home, and a berth in the 2026 NCATA National Championships. The Golden Knights also earned victories over nationally-ranked No. 7 Duquesne, No. 12 Glenville State, and No. 8 Mary Hardin-Baylor.
"I am beyond excited to officially have Megan on our staff," said Womeldorph. "She was a standout leader as a student-athlete and is the true definition of what it means to be a Golden Knight. Her knowledge, perspective, and insight will help us continue the legacy we are building, especially as we enter this new NCAA era. I'm excited for the future of our team with Megan joining our staff."
Revell served as Gannon's student volunteer coach during the 2025-26 campaign, assisting with athletes at every position while focusing on tumbling technique for both starters and non-starters.
She also supervised weight room sessions, recorded and uploaded practice film for team review, traveled with the team throughout the season, attended practices, skill blocks, team meetings, and development sessions, and managed the program's social media platforms.
Before joining the coaching staff, Revell competed for the Golden Knights from 2022-25 as a base, back, and tumbler, serving as a three-year starter.
During her collegiate career, she helped Gannon to two NCATA National Championship runner-up finishes, was a member of Gannon's 2022 NCATA Synchronized Pyramid National Championship squad, and was a 2025 Synchronized Toss Event Finalist.
She also earned NCATA Academic Honor Roll recognition all four years and was a two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient.
In addition to her experience at Gannon, Revell spent four years coaching at the Academy of Acrobatic Sports in Kennewick, Wash., where she worked with athletes from a variety of backgrounds, including gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, silks, tumbling, and stunting.
She created lesson plans for classes, private lessons, and clinics while helping athletes develop their skills through individualized instruction.
Revell earned her bachelor's degree in Communication & Journalism from Gannon in 2025 before graduating with her master's degree in Strategic Communications in 2026, where she also received the Graduate Studies Award for Excellence in Strategic Communication.
