Head Coach Addy Womeldorph today announced the appointment of Katelyn Cooper as the next Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach. She comes to Gannon from Ohio State University, where she graduated with a Masters in Sports Coaching. Cooper also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Managament from Hawaii Pacific University.

"I'm excited to welcome Katelyn to our Acrobatics and Tumbling staff at Gannon University", said Womeldorph. "Her strong background and passion for the sport will be instrumental in the continued growth of our Acrobatics and Tumbling program. Katelyn brings fresh ideas, a unique perspective, and valuable insight that will help propel our team to new heights. I'm confident she'll thrive in this role, and I look forward to all that we'll accomplish together!"

Cooper will join Gannon with several years of experience in Acrobatics & Tumbling already under her belt. In addition, Cooper spent time in an internship role with the National Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA), shadowing Executive Director Janell Cook and serving in various roles promoting expansion of the sport.

While at Ohio State, Cooper served as the Women's Gymnastics team manager, assisting in film review & practice plans. She also played an integral role during competitions, ensuring student-athletes were supplied with required equipment and managing the accuracy of the team lineup.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to join Gannon University as the new Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach", said Cooper. "It is clear that Gannon is a place where student-athletes are supported, challenged, and given the opportunity to thrive both in and outside of their sport. It will truly be an honor to work alongside Head Coach Womeldorph, whose leadership and vision for this team is motivating and brings great excitement for this upcoming season. I am looking forward to supporting our student-athletes in their academic and athletic journey. Go Knights!"
