Addy Womeldorph

Addy Womeldorph was hired as an assistant coach for the Gannon University acrobatics and tumbling team on July 31, 2023.

Womeldorph completed her athletic career in 2023 after four seasons with the national powerhouse Gannon acrobatics & tumbling team. She was a member of Gannon's 2022 NCATA national runner-up team, and she competed in three national champion events over the past two seasons for the Golden Knights.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science in May 2023 and is pursuing her Master of Science in Applied Exercise Physiology.

"Addy Womeldorph was an outstanding player and leader on our acrobatics and tumbling team from 2019-2023," Gannon head coach Brandy Duren said. "She has a competitive drive, determination, and a strong passion for the Gannon University acrobatics and tumbling team, which will make her a strong addition to the coaching staff. I am looking forward to watching Addy flourish in this new role as assistant coach and working with her to lead our team onward and upward!"
 
Womeldorph received the Gannon Acrobatics and Tumbling Leadership Award after the 2023 season. A year earlier, she was recognized as the team's Medal of Honor recipient.
 
She was a member of the 2022 Gannon team that placed second nationally in the NCATA Championships. Womeldorph also was part of the Gannon lineup that won the Synchronized Toss and Synchronized Pyramid national championships that year. She also was a member of the Gannon squad that won the Synchronized Toss national title in 2023.
 
"I am beyond excited and honored to be given this opportunity to coach the Gannon University acrobatics and tumbling team," Womeldorph said. "As being someone who was on the acrobatics and tumbling team at Gannon for the past four years, I can proudly say this program is something so special. Taking on this new role, I can't wait to continue to help the team reach new heights and build on the culture that the Gannon team has proudly shown for the past 10 years.
