Biography
Carver will compete for time as a middle blocker.
2013: Put up solid numbers in her second year as a starter; finished third on the team in kills (220), hitting percentage (.222) and points (273.5) on the season, and finished second on the team in blocks (90) and blocks/set (.80); established career-highs in kills twice (14 versus Pitt-Johnstown and Slippery Rock) and points (18 vs. Pitt-Johnstown); was the only Gannon player to reach double-figures in kills in the NCAA tournament loss to Cal, posting 10 and earning Atlantic Region all-tournament honors; reached double figures in points 11 times in the 2013 season, including all three of Gannon’s post-season matches.
2012: Performed well during her first season as a starter ... finished the year with 117 kills and 83 blocks to compliment a .190 hitting percentage despite missing several matches with injuries ... her 83 blocks and .90 blocks/set average were second highest on the team ... reached double figures in kills twice, including a career-high 11 at Slippery Rock and 10 during a PSAC semifinal match against Shippensburg ... also notched double figures in points against Ohio Dominican ... blocked a season-best nine balls in just three sets during Gannon’s win against Millersville ... recorded seven blocks during both of Gannon’s victories against Lock Haven ... hit .400 or better six times, including an impressive .500 (11 kills, 2 error, 18 attempts) at Slippery Rock.
2011: Saw action in eight matches, making three starts … recorded 23 kills, seven digs, three solo blocks and six block assists … totaled 29 points (2.23/set) while producing a .362 hitting percentage … finished with a season-best 11 kills on 16 chances against Cheyney … converted four of her eight touches to kills against Indiana (Pa.) … added four block assists during a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg … stuffed two solo blocks at Cheyney … recorded three digs in back-to-back matches against Indiana (Pa.) and Cheyney.Â
High School: Played for head coach Kasey Adelman at Theodore Roosevelt (Ohio) High School … was a two-time all-league selection … earned all-district honorable-mention accolades as a senior … led Theodore Roosevelt to back-to-back league championships … named a scholar-athlete … was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Interdisciplinary Studies major … has one sister and one brother … is the daughter of Charlotte and Kenneth.
