JaHanna Dixon

JaHanna Dixon begins her second season as a member of the Gannon volleyball coaching staff. The Buffalo, N.Y., native was a four-time all-conference selection, earning first-team honors during her junior and senior seasons at SUNY Fredonia. Dixon was also selected as MVP and team captain during her final two seasons.

Dixon’s previous coaching experience includes serving as the junior varsity coach for one season at West Seneca (N.Y.) High School where she managed all aspects of the team. During the 2008-09 season, Dixon was also head of the Niagara Frontier travel team. her duties included running all team practices while providing training and nutritional information.

Most recently Dixon served as the Thurman Thomas Sports Training Manager. She managed scheduling for employees, served as a member of the hiring committee and supervised the day-to-day operations of the facility.

Dixon also has experience working in community fundraisers, including coordinating and planning the Fredonia State hockey team’s “Pink the Rink” event.

Dixon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management from SUNY Fredonia and a Master’s of Science in Sports Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
