Chanthavisouk begins her sixth season as a member of the Gannon volleyball coaching staff in 2015. The Lady Knights have won 70 percent of their matches with Chanthavisouk on the sideline, producing a 113-49 overall record during that time. The program is also 75-26 in conference play during the last four seasons. The results have equaled 20-win campaigns and NCAA Division II Tournament appearances each season.
The 2012 season reached new heights when Gannon captured its first-ever conference championship, winning both the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament and the PSAC Western Division regular-season titles.
Chanthavisouk came to Gannon after serving as the assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) the previous two seasons. Chanthavisouk assisted the Tigers with training, developing skill, conditioning, recruiting and organizing team fundraisers among other responsibilities.
Previously, Chanthavisouk served as the head coach at SUNY Geneseo for two seasons and the assistant coach at St. John Fisher College for three seasons.
As a player, Chanthavisouk was selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) all-region third team, the All-Western New York Athletic Conference first team and the conference all-tournament first team in 1998.
Chanthavisouk has also worked in higher education, private and non-profit environments as a computer technician, technical writer, supervisor and project manager.
Chanthavisouk earned a liberal arts associate degree from Monroe (N.Y.) Community College in 1999 and a bachelor of arts in English from St. John Fisher (N.Y.) College in December of 2003.
