Sebastian Sanchez-Cordero

First-year Gannon men’s and women’s swimming coach Milan Medo announced the appointment of Sebastian Sanchez-Cordero as assistant coach in Noivember 2024.

Sanchez-Cordero is no stranger to Medo. He was a member of the Notre Dame (Ohio) team that Medo coached before joining the Golden Knights this year.

"I am excited to welcome Sebastian as my new assistant coach,” related Medo. I had the privilege of coaching him in the past, during which he demonstrated tremendous leadership and an extremely high work ethic."

A native of Las Vegas, Nev., Sanchez-Cordero was a distance swimmer for the Falcons. He competed in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650-yard freestyle events at the 2024 GMAC/MEC Championships, along with the 800-yard freestyle relay. He was named an Academic All-MEC performer

Sanchez-Cordero received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a concentration in Exercise Science in May 2024.
