Vetra is expected to compete for playing time at forward as a senior in 2017-18 … transferred from NCAA Division I New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) prior to the 2017-18 academic year … will be a graduate student with one year of eligibility remaining.

At NJIT: Played in 65 games at NJIT from 2014-16, but sat out the 2016-17 season with an injury … served as a team captain last year … saw action in 19 games as a junior, starting five … named to the Dean's List, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society … received the Estelle and Seymour Fleisher Endowed Scholarship.

High School: Played for head coach Chip Reitano at Our Lady of Mercy (N.J.) Academy … came to the United States from Latvia and enrolled at Our Lady of Mercy Academy in 2011-12 … named to the CAL Conference All-Star Team … averaged 10 points and nine rebounds while shooting 80 percent from the free throw line … selected to the National Honor Society … played for the Latvian national U16 team, which captured the regular-season title while earning MVP playoff honors … helped her U16 team place third in the European Championship Division B.

Personal: Working towards her master's degree in health communications … is the daughter of Argita and Gundars … has one sister … her father played professionally in Europe and was the first Latvian to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) when he spent the 1992-93 season as a reserve guard and forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves … her sister played basketball for NCAA Division I Fairfield (2009-13).
