Biography

Walters is one of Gannon’s returning starters on defense … has started 50 matches during her first three collegiate seasons … enters the 2013 campaign 10th all-time at Gannon since 2004 in ground balls (116), 12th in caused turnovers (38) and 20th in draw controls (34).

2012: Played in every match, starting 17 … named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) second team … finished second on the team in caused turnovers (11) and fifth in ground balls (38) … scored her first career goal during a 22-8 victory against Lake Erie … added a second score during a 21-2 win against Tiffin … picked up a season-high six ground balls during victories against East Stroudsburg and Tiffin … finish the match against NCAA Division I Niagara with four ground balls and two caused turnovers … had at least three ground balls in a match seven times … produced season-highs in draw controls (3) and caused turnovers (3) during a 19-13 victory against Indiana (Pa.) … caused multiple turnovers on four different occasions … was one of the leaders for a defense that ranked fourth among PSAC teams in scoring defense (11.17), draw controls per match (15.0) and ground balls per match (24.78).
