Biography

Witzlib is expected to compete for playing time as an outfielder or pitcher during her first season at Gannon in 2014.

High School: Played for head coach Kurt Raguse at Germantown (Wis.) High School … named to the All-North Shore Conference first team as a senior pitcher … was a 2013 All-State Pitcher of the Year finalist … produced a 1.52 ERA while averaging 1.8 strikeouts per inning as a senior … led Germantown in RBIs … received the team’s “Hustle” and “MVP” awards as a senior … finished her senior season with an 11-1 pitching slate … helped Germantown advance to the state semifinals as a junior and state quarterfinals as a senior … was part of back-to-back conference championships, finishing both years undefeated in conference play … named to the all-conference first team as a junior outfielder … served as a co-captain during her senior season … produced a 0.92 ERA during 12 appearances as a junior …  started seven games while logging 45.2 innings … recorded 69 strikeouts and 14 walks while allowing only 15 hits … produced a .405 average, .453 on-base percentage and .519 slugging percentage in 79 at-bats as a junior … recorded 32 hits and 19 RBI … walked seven times while striking out only seven times … fired a no-hitter against Cedarburg on April 30, 2012, striking out eight and walking two in seven innings … was part of a Germantown team that advanced to the WIAA Division I State Tournament semifinals … named to the honor roll every semester since middle school … received an Academic Achievement Letter with a 3.7 cumulative grade point average … played for the Midwest Pride during the summer of 2012, advancing to the NSA Girls Fastpitch “B” World Series … won the 16U championship in a 44-team division … finished the event 5-0 with a 1.35 ERA on the mound … produced a .540 average and .560 on-base percentage at the plate … tossed a perfect game with 15 strikeouts while going 4-for-4 at the plate during a 13-0 victory against the New Berlin Magic of the Metro Milwaukee Fastpitch League … named MVP of the Cheesehead Tournament after hitting .583 with a .688 on-base percentage … had two complete games on the mound and threw two runners out at home from center field.
