High School: Attended Holy Name High School, where he earned four varsity letters in both cross country and track & field under head coach Kyle Knapik. A four-year starter in both sports, he was a two-time Cross Country Most Valuable Player, Cross Country Rookie of the Year, and Track Distance Runner of the Year. She earned All-Ohio honors, First Team All-Conference recognition, First Team All-District honors, and Second Team All-Region accolades in cross country. In the classroom, he graduated fourth in his class by GPA, earned First Honors recognition, and was named an AP Scholar with Distinction.

Personal: Biomedical Engineering major ... Son of Denise and Mark Tomecko ... Has a sister (Allison).
