2023: Competed in just four races due to injuries but was Gannon’s top runner in each race
… began the year with a first place finish in the Race at the Park, his first win in a race while setting a personal best in a 6K race at 18:52.9 … dedicated the win to his mother Lynne who passed away after a fight with ovarian and brain cancer a month earlier … capped the season with a first-ever All-Region showing in the NCAA Div. II Atlantic Regional … led Gannon with a 22nd-place showing, covering 10K distance in a time of 31:19.6 … both the finish and time were the best ever in a 10K race … moved up from a 44th-place finish the year before … also set a personal best time for an 8K race in the Lock Haven Invitational, crossing the finish line with a time of 24:57.0, good for 28th place.
2022: Was Gannon’s first or second runner across the finish line in all seven of the races he competed in … fell just shy of earning All-PSAC honors for the second time, coming in 33
rd at the PSAC Championships with a time of 26:32.9 over the 8K course … was Gannon’s top finisher at the NCAA Div. II Atlantic Regional, finishing 44
th out of 162 runners with a time of 30:48.6 (9.5K) … also led Gannon in the Bill Lennox Invitational, coming in 17
th (8K – 26.50) … posted his best finish ever in a 6K race at the Fredonia State Invitational, placing sixth (21:05.49).
2021: Competed in six races and was among Gannon’s top runners late in the year … Gannon’s fourth runner to finish at the PSAC Championships, coming in 44th with a time of 27:36.6 (8K) … followed that up by finishing 50th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional with a time of 33:04.7 over the 10K course … best finish was a sixth place showing at the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational (28:18 8K) … was a USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree along with earning PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition for the second time.
2020: Ran in two of three events during a season that was shortened by COVID-19 and run in the spring of 2021 … earned second team All-PSAC accolades after finishing 29th in his first PSAC Championships … posted a time of 16:11.1 over the 5K course … previously came in second at the Gannon Invitational (17:20.2 5K) … earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors.
High School: Competed for head coach Jerry Koeppel at Amherst Central High School in Buffalo, NY ... ran cross country and also competed in indoor and outdoor track & field ... a three-time All-ECIC honoree ... had PRs of 4:30 in the mile, 1:58 in the 800 meters and 16:32 in the 5K ... also an outstanding student who earned high honor roll accolades.
Personal: Physical Therapy major … son of Lynne and Kirkwood Personius … has one brother (David).
