2022: Was Gannon’s top runner while competing in seven of eight races … was the first Golden Knight across the finish line in every race but the NCAA
Division II Atlantic Regional, when he was second … is now a two-time All-PSAC honoree after earning first team All-PSAC honors with a 13
th place finish among 146 runners … covered the 8K course in a time of 25:50.8 … was third at the Ed Winrow Invitational, posting his best time in an 8K race at 25:49.9, over a minute better than his previous time … was sixth at the Div. II/Div. III Challenge (26:52.30) … opened the season with a win in the Fredonia State Invitational with a time of 20:21.30 over the 6K course, a career-best … was named the PSAC Runner of the Week in back-to-back weeks for his performance in the Ed Winrow Invitational and the Race in the Park … won the latter race while running against Mercyhurst, posting a time of 26:36.6 over the 8K course … finished 53
rd at the NCAA Div. II Atlantic Regional (31:25.5).
2021: Was named the PSAC Champion Scholar for the second straight year with the highest cumulative GPA at the PSAC Championships … had a 4.00 GPA as a Physician’s Assistant major … went on to post a strong showing at his third conference championship, coming in 43rd with time of 27:35.8 (8K) as the third Golden Knight to finish … ran in all seven meets and was one of Gannon’s top runners … was seventh at the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational (28.25 8K) and ninth in the Bill Lennox Invitational (27:05 8K) … was second Gannon runner to finish in the NCAA Div. II Atlantic Regional, coming in 45th with a time of 32:57.1 over the 10K course … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team and a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
2020: Was Gannon’s top finisher in all three races in a season that was shortened due to COVID-19 and actually took place in the spring of 2021 … earned second team All-PSAC honors thanks to a 25th place showing at the PSAC Championships … finished with a time of 16:08.9 for the 5K race, a personal best … won the Gannon Invitational with a time of 17:17.7 (5K) and came in 16th at the LHU Winter Invite (16:13.0 5K) … named the PSAC Champion Scholar, and would later earn PSAC Scholar-Athlete and D2 ADA Academic Achievement honors
2019: In Gannon’s top group of runners all year as a freshman while competing in all seven races … took home seventh place in the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational with a time of 28:08 (8K) … was Gannon’s fourth finisher while running in his first PSAC Championships, coming in 60th with a time of 27:27.7 over 8K ... improved on that at the NCAA Atlantic Regional, coming in 58th in his first 10K race (33:22.6) … earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
Personal: Physician Assistant major with a minor in Biology … son of Laurie and Mark Mandel … has two brothers (Noah and Ian).
