Biography

deGuia returns as one of Gannon’s regular infield starters for the third consecutive season in 2016 … enters her senior campaign 11th all-time at Gannon since 2000 in assists (192) and 19th in walks (33).

2015: Saw action in 44 of Gannon’s 45 games, starting all 44 … served as Gannon’s starter at shortstop 34 times and third base 10 times … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … earned National Fastpitch Coaches (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete honors … hit .444 (4-9) with the bases loaded and .318 (14-44) with runners in scoring position … reached base 37.5 percent (12-32) of the time when leading off an inning … drove home a run 54.5 percent (6-11) of the time when hitting with a runner on third base and less than two outs … was third on the team in two-out RBIs (11) … recorded seven multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI efforts … produced a season-high five-game hit streak during the National Training Center (NTC) Games in Florida … hit .300 (6-20) with seven runs and three RBIs during the streak … went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs against Walsh at the NTC Games … tied a season-high with three runs during a home game against Clarion … generated a season-high three hits in five at-bats against Mercyhurst, scoring once and driving in two runs … finished 2-for-3 against Slippery Rock with one run and a season-high three RBIs … recorded her first career triple during a 2-for-3 day against Edinboro … went 19 games (April 15-May 8) without an error, spanning 62 fielding opportunities.

2013: Saw action in 16 games as a true freshman, starting seven … made three starts as a designated player, one at second base, one at third base and one in right field … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors ... made her collegiate debut as a designated player during a season-opening 6-4 eight-inning victory against Georgian Court … recorded her first career hit during an 11-4 win against the University of Mary in Gannon’s fourth game of the season … scored her first career run during a 5-4 win against Bethel in the final contest of the NTC Games in Florida … added hits against Edinboro and Mercyhurst … recorded her first career RBI at Mercyhurst.
