Adams begins his first season as a defensive assistant at Gannon in 2017. He is no stranger to Golden Knight fans after transferring to Gannon for his senior season last year, finishing fourth on the team with 73 tackles. Adams recorded 11 tackles for a loss (41 yards), three sacks (28 yards), one interception (16 yards), one blocked kick, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a starting linebacker. His 73 tackles included 31 via the solo variety and 42 assisted. Adam produced at least six tackles eight times in 11 games, including a season-high 10 at Slippery Rock.
The Crozier, Va., native came to Gannon after playing three years at NCAA Division I Eastern Michigan of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Adams played in 34 career games for the Eagles. He recorded 36 tackles, four tackles for a loss and two sacks as a junior. The apex came with a season-high 10 tackles against LSU.
Adams graduated from Gannon in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science.
