Smith enters his second season as a member of the Gannon coaching staff in 2013, tutoring the program’s wide receivers. He also serves as the program's video coordinator.

A four-year letterwinner for the Golden Knights from 2008-11, Smith recently completed a stellar playing career at Gannon. He was a three-year starter at wide receiver, competing in 41 career games. The former wide-out finished his career with 51 receptions, 624 yards, 12.2 yards per reception and four touchdowns.

Smith’s senior campaign was arguably his best. He was the team’s third-leading receiver, hauling in 22 passes for 257 yards and two scores. Smith set career-highs in receptions (6), yards (127) and touchdowns (2) last season at Clarion.

Smith graduated from Gannon in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Business. A three-time selection to the Gannon Dean’s List, he graduated with a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average.
