Geige Dziados

Dziados serves as a defensive intern during this first season on the Gannon coaching staff in 2016. He comes to Gannon after spending a year at SUNY Cortland as the wide receivers and returners coach. The Red Dragons finished No. 15 in NCAA Division III after winning the Empire 8 Conference Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen. As a result, the coaches were named Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year. The squad ranked eighth nationally in passing efficiency, ninth in completion percentage, 22nd in passing offense and 32nd in yards per completion. Dziados coached all-conference first-team selections Jon Mannix (receiver) and Dylan Peebles (returner).

The Cicero, N.Y., native began his coaching career as an offensive student assistant coach at SUNY Cortland in 2014. Dziados then served as an intern at Colgate, before returning to SUNY Cortland as the tight ends coach in the spring of 2015.

Dziados played collegiately at SUNY Cortland, Monroe (N.Y.) College and Onondaga (N.Y.) Community College. He earned SUNYAC All-Academic honors at SUNY Cortland and Yankee Conference All-Academic accolades at Onondaga Community College. Dziados graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.
