Wolf begins his seventh season as a member of the Gannon coaching staff in 2018, serving as the program’s recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach. He shifts his position duties to defensive line this year after tutoring the linebackers for the previous six years.

Gannon linebackers have excelled under Wolf’s leadership. Most recently, Anthony Howard earned back-to-back All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honors and All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) accolades last season. He ranked third among conference players and 38th nationally with 9.6 tackles per game in 2016. His 106 tackles represented the seventh-highest single-season total in program history.

Joshua Wiechelt earned All-PSAC and USA College Football all-america honors in 2015. He led the PSAC and ranked 34th among all NCAA Division II players in tackles per game (9.9). Wiechelt’s 109 total tackles equaled the sixth-highest single-season total all-time at Gannon.

Luke Rankie previously earned back-to-back all-conference honors, including a first-team selection in 2014. His 115 tackles as a junior ranked third all-time at Gannon and represented the most by a Golden Knight in 10 years. He finished second among PSAC players in tackles per game (10.5), fourth in solo tackles per game (5.0) and fifth in tackles for a loss per game (1.5).

Wolf spent the previous two seasons as the defensive line coach at Allegheny (Pa.) College. In addition to his primary duties with the defensive line, he helped coordinate the run game defense, scout the pass protection scheme and assist the strength and conditioning coach. Wolf’s defensive lines helped the Gators post a 12-8 record during his two-year tenure. The unit ranked fourth nationally in rush defense during the 2010 campaign.

Prior to Allegheny, Wolf was an assistant football coach at East Central High School in St. Leon, Ind., where he oversaw the defensive line and helped guide the team to a 10-3 record and the 2009 sectional title.

Wolf graduated from Indiana University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He was a mainstay on the defensive line while earning three varsity letters. A 2008 One Play Warrior honoree for outstanding special teams play, Wolf played in the 2007 Insight Bowl. He was a two-sport student-athlete for the Division I Hoosiers, participating in wrestling and football.

Wolf resides in Erie, Pennsylvania with his wife Brittney and his twin daughters Reese Lynn (3) and Carter Joy (3).
