Allison Brooks

Brooks begins her second year as the head athletic trainer and third overall at Gannon in 2017-18. Brooks and her athletic training staff are responsible for the health, education and safety of nearly 600 student-athletes encompassing 20 sports. Brooks' primary team coverage includes football in the fall, women’s basketball in the winter and spring football, as well as other programs throughout the year.

The Pottstown, Pa., native originally arrived at Gannon as the associate athletic trainer in September of 2015, before serving as the interim head athletic trainer in the spring of 2016. Brooks was later elevated to the head athletic trainer position in June of 2016. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Sports and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University in 2010. Brooks earned her Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California (Pa.) in 2011.

Brooks is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society (PATS) and Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA).

Prior to arriving at Gannon University, Brooks served as an assistant athletic trainer at Mercyhurst University from 2011-2015. She began her collegiate career as a graduate intern athletic trainer at Edinboro University during the 2010-11 academic year.
