Northwood (Mich.) - 2019
  • Spent the 2019 season as the defensive backs coach at Division II Northwood, leading three members of the secondary to All-GLIAC honors
Saginaw Valley State – 2014-2018
  • Served as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Division II Saginaw Valley State for five seasons
  • His stop with the Cardinals culminated in a 2018 season that saw the defense finish sixth in Division II in scoring defense at 16.6 points per game, and lead the GLIAC in interceptions with 15. SVSU finished the year 8-3, its most wins in six years
  • Coached a total of 27 All-GLIAC defensive selections, including 2016 conference Defensive Back of the Year and All-American Matt McKoy
Ohio Northern – 2009, 2011-2013
  • Served as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for a stretch of four out of five seasons at Division III Ohio Northern
  • The Polar Bears went 8-2 in 2009, narrowly missing out on the NCAA postseason, and finished the year ranked 13th nationally
  • Coached a total of 11 All-Ohio Athletic Conference defensive selections and two All-North Region selections
Texas-El Paso - 2010
  • Spent the 2010 season as safeties coach at Division I Texas-El Paso, coaching one All-Conference USA selection and helping the Miners to the New Mexico Bowl
Bowling Green – 2007-2008
  • Spent two seasons as the defensive backs coach at Division I Bowling Green
  • The 2007 edition of the Falcons went 8-5 and 6-2 in-conference, earning a share of the MAC East crown and a trip to the GMAC Bowl
  • His 2008 secondary helped BGSU rank 21st in Division I in pass defense at 180.8 yards per game
  • Coached two All-MAC selections
Northwood (Mich.) – 2002-2006
  • Earned his first Division II defensive coordinator position at Northwood, also spending time over five seasons coaching the linebackers and defensive backs
  • Helped the Timberwolves to three consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs from 2004-2006
  • NU won the 2004 GLIAC championship, and finished as runners-up in both 2005 and 2006
  • His defenses finished in the top three in total defense in the GLIAC three times
  • Twice coached the GLIAC Defensive Back of the Year award winner
  • Coached 32 All-GLIAC defensive selections and four All-Americans
Early Career
  • Spent his first 10 years in college coaching at a number of stops, including Navy (2001), Greenville (Ill.) (1999-2000), Connecticut (1998), Lafayette (1997), Montana State (1996), Pacific (1993-1995) and Stanford (1992)
  • Was defensive coordinator at Division III Greenville for two seasons
  • Helped Connecticut to a No. 7 national ranking and a trip to the NCAA Division I-AA (now FCS) quarterfinals in 1997
