Belch begins his third season as a member of the Gannon coaching staff in 2014, but will serve in a different capacity this year. After spending two seasons as the program’s running backs coach, Belch will tutor the offensive linemen while assuming the strength and conditioning coordinator duties.

A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for the Golden Knights on the offensive line from 2008-11, Belch definitely has a firm grasp of the running game and protection schemes. As the running backs coach during the last two seasons, Jansen Jones broke Gannon’s single-season records for rushing yards (1,588), attempts (296), 200-yard games (3), points (102) and total touchdowns (17). In addition, Jones produced a school-record 1,817 all-purpose yards. He finished his career third all-time at Gannon in rushing yards (2,823), third in all-purpose yards (3,409), fifth in points (176) and eighth in total offense (2,823).

In 2010, Belch was an integral part of Gannon’s offensive line that helped the Golden Knights ranked 25th nationally in turnover margin (0.82) as a student-athlete. The squad finished fourth among Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams in turnover margin and ninth in rushing offense (132.7).

Belch graduated from Gannon in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Marketing. He also earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors during his collegiate career.
