Marley Lucas is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Gannon competitive cheerleading team in 2020.
Lucas wrapped up a four-year career as a student-athlete with the Knights from 2016-19, helping the program break out on the national stage with appearances at the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Cheer and Dance National Championships each year.
The all-girl squad finished sixth in 2018 and fifth in 2017, and coed finished sixth, fourth and sixth in its first three years of existence from 2016-18. Lucas was a member of the gameday team in 2019, leading that group to a third-place finish at nationals in its inaugural season.
Lucas also works with Universal Cheerleaders Association, where she helps run cheerleading camps and also judges for competitions and tryouts.
The Greensburg, Pennsylvania, native graduated from Gannon with her bachelor’s degree in education in 2019.
