Tobin is one of Gannon’s returners among the starting pitching rotation in 2015 … enters his senior campaign fourth all-time at Gannon since 2000 in victories (10), fourth in games started (28), fifth in complete games (11), fifth in innings pitched (162), ninth in strikeouts (74) and 13th in appearances (28).

2014: Made nine starting assignments … finished second among Golden Knights in victories, second in games started, second in innings pitched (55.2), third in earned run average, third in strikeouts and fourth in complete games … limited opponents to a .240 average (25-104) with the bases empty … began the season with a complete game against Rio Grande at the Russ-Matt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida … allowed two earned runs and struck out two against the Red Storm … picked up his first victory with a 4-2 complete-game win against California (Pa.) … allowed a season-best one run during a 2-1 complete-game victory against Clarion … surrendered two earned runs or less three times … struck out a season-high five hitters against Ashland at the Russ-Matt Invitational.

2013: Started 10 games … finished 4-4 with two no-decisions and a 4.25 earned run average … led the team in games started … was third on the team in complete games (5), innings pitched (59.1) and strikeouts (31) … won his first three starts against West Virginia Wesleyan (7-6), Wayne State (Mich.) (3-2) and Clarion (4-2) … allowed only one hit through seven innings at Mansfield … picked up his fourth victory during a 6-3 decision at Slippery Rock, allowing one earned run in seven innings … surrendered two earned runs or less during five of his 10 starts … struck out at least two hitters during every appearance.

2012: Made nine starts as a true freshman … finished with the team’s third-lowest earned run average (3.26) … ranked second on the squad in starts, second in opponent batting average (.220), third in victories (3) and fourth in innings pitched (47.0) … limited left-handers to a .156 average (5-32) … held the opposition to a .137 average (7-51) with two outs and .188 mark (15-80) with runners on base … began the season with 6 1/3 innings against Bethel (Ind.), allowing only one earned run … responded during his next appearance with a 3-1 victory against Shippensburg … did not allow an earned run and gave up only two hits in six innings against the Ship … surrendered two earned runs or less during seven of his nine starts, including the first four … added victories against Clarion and Indiana (Pa.) … struck out a season-high four hitters against Clarion.

High School: Played for head coach Randy Durkoskey at Mercyhurst Prep (Pa.) High School … named to the all-state second team as a senior … earned all-region and all-district first-team honors … named Pitcher of the Year … helped Mercyhurst Prep win two District 10 championships, advancing to the state semifinals once.
