Biography
Adkins is expected to compete at the top position during her first season as a Lady Knight in 2015 … transferred from NCAA Division I Mississippi State prior to the 2014-15 academic year … has two years of eligibility remaining.
At Mississippi State: Was a two-year member of the All-Girl Competitive Cheer Team under head coach Melissa Nichols … helped Mississippi State advance to the college nationals during both seasons … participated as a flyer … was a member of the gameday cheer teams for football, basketball, soccer and volleyball in addition to competing with the competitive cheer team.
High School: Competed on the all-star circuit under head coach Kim Bossman and the high school level under head coach Hyla Hardrick … was part of a team that ranked 15th in the world as a junior … served as the team captain of the high school cheer team as a senior … was a three-sport athlete, helping the volleyball team win the 2009 Regional Championship as a junior and placing 15th at the 2010 Track and Field State Championships in the pole vault … named Homecoming Queen in 2010.
Personal: Advertising Communication major … is the daughter of mother Lynn, father Robert, stepmother Bonnie and stepfather Kenny … is a member of the Gannon Advertising and Communications Club.
