    Volunteer Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach
Mikayla Vecchio is entering her second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Gannon acrobatics and tumbling program in 2020-21.
 
During the 2020 season, she helped the Golden Knights set a new program record with their final score of 280.665 in their dual at No. 1 Baylor in early March, a mark that was also the fifth highest in the country on the season. Gannon also set a program record with its 29.70 in the toss event at No. 6 Hawaii Pacific, which was the highest score in the country in the event.
 
A four-year member of the Gannon acrobatics and tumbling team, Vecchio was a five-time national qualifier in individual events, competing at the NCATA national event finals in 2016 (Twist Pyramid), 2017 (7-Element Acro and Inversion Pyramid) and 2018 (Open Pyramid and Open Toss).
 
She was named first-team All-ECAC as a senior in 2019, and also picked up honors as a member of the NCATA Academic Honor Roll, ECAC All-Academic Team and a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
