2008 Fall A Team - Kayla Nelson
Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-three students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recently completed semester. Gannon’s 347 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past fall semester.
Kayla Nelson, a junior business major and member of the lacrosse team, joins the “A” team after achieving a 4.0 GPA for the fall 2008 semester. Nelson led the women’s lacrosse team in points for the 2008 season, with 12 goals and 57 assists. She was also named to WomensLacrosse.com All-American Second Team, and to IWLCA All-South Region Second Team in 2008.
Aside from lacrosse, Nelson is also involved in Alpha Kappa Psi, a Proffesional Business Fraternity, as well as Phi Eta Sigma, an honor society. She has also been named to the Dean’s List. After graduation, Nelson hopes to get continue her loves of sports by working for an athletic company, like Nike, or for a collegiate athletic company.
