2008 Spring A Team - Heidi Lott

Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-four students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent completed semester. Gannon’s 341 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past spring semester.

Heidi Lott returns to the lacrosse field this year to compete for a starting position in the midfield or on defense. The senior elementary/special education major not only excels on the field, but also in the classroom. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA consistently for four semesters, helping the women’s lacrosse team to receive to honor of having the highest team GPA in Division II. This year, Lott was picked as one of the captains of the team.

”I love the competition of competing at the collegiate level. As a team we have set a very high-level of dedication and discipline to ensure success. I love being with my teammates and coming out on top,” Lott said. “ It is my senior year and I am excited to come out hard in fall ball conditioning and getting prepared for our season in the spring. My personal goal for the sport is to continue our winning tradition at Gannon and to make to the NCAA championships this year.”

After college, Lott hopes to become a special or elementary educator. She also hopes to have the opportunity to coach volleyball or lacrosse at the middle or high school level.

“I enjoy teaching because I have a love for learning and children. I am excited to share my experiences with a new generation and make an impact on their lives,” said Lott.

In addition to academics and lacrosse, Lott is a member of Kappi Delti Pi, an international education honor society, and she also has a work-study position at the Carnival Athletic Pavilion.

This summer, Lott substitute taught in her home school district of Corning-Painted Post School District, and also worked at the Corning Parks and Recreation Summer program. When she wasn’t working, she spent time with family and friends, babysat, and played in the Baldwinsville Lacrosse Tournament.
