2008 Spring A Team - Katie Kibby
Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-four students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent completed semester. Gannon’s 341 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past spring semester.
Katie Kibby, a May 2008 graduate with a degree in Elementary/Early Education, was an important asset to the Lady Knights Basketball team. At 6’3’’, she was one of the GLIAC’s tallest players and best shot blockers. “I like the competition and intensity level of the games,” Kibby said, “And also making lasting friendships with my teammates.”
In addition to success on the court, Kibby excelled in the classroom, and was named to the GLIAC All-American team. During her time at Gannon, she was also involved in Kappa Delta Pi, an education sorority.
After spending the summer waitressing at a local restaurant and enjoying the sun, Kibby will enter graduate school in the fall at Akron University. She was accepted into the law program and plans to specialize in Education Law.
