2008 Spring A Team - Mark Demski
Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-four students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent completed semester. Gannon’s 341 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past spring semester.
Mark Demski’s hard working attitude has proved to be successful for him on the basketball court and in the classroom. The 6’5’’ forward is known for taking charge, getting loose balls, and bringing a great amount of energy to every practice and game.
“I love the competitive spirit that each athlete shows at the college level,” said Demski. “Every athlete takes their respective sport very seriously. My personal goals for playing basketball are to reach my potential as a basketball player.”
Currently Demski is undecided on a major, but is considering something in management, and possibly becoming a school administrator. In addition to playing basketball, Demski participates in G.I.V.E day each year, which is a community service event, and has also played in the wheelchair basketball tournament.
Demski spend the summer working at East High School doing summer clean up.
