2008 Spring A Team - Matt Bauer

Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-four students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent completed semester. Gannon’s 341 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past spring semester.

Matt Bauer finished his last semester as an undergraduate student at Gannon with a 4.0 GPA and also ran a successful cross country season. He was also named to the GLIAC’s All-Academic team.

“Cross country at the college level gave me opportunities to meet different coaches and runners from different areas, and travel to races and areas that I wouldn't necessarily have visited if I had only ran in high school,” said Bauer.

Bauer graduated with his bachelor’s degree last spring, and will continue his education at Gannon in the physical therapy program. While at Gannon he was involved in the Sports and Exercise Science Club and the Physical Therapy Club.

Bauer spent the summer working at Gannon’s Nash Library. Bauer’s youngest brother Dan will be attending Gannon this fall and will be running cross country.
