2008 Spring A Team - Kolten Hoffman

Membership in the Golden Knight’s “A” Team represents the very best in intercollegiate athletics. Thirty-four students have qualified by achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent completed semester. Gannon’s 341 student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.22 this past spring semester.

Kolten Hoffman is a quarterback for Gannon football as well as a middle infielder for the baseball team. His favorite thing about playing sports at the college level is the competition.

“That's why I play college sports - the need to compete day in and day out,” said Hoffman. “My personal goals are to continue to work hard and give my sports everything I have. In baseball, I would like to continue to start at second base and maintain a .300 batting average.”

Hoffman will return to Gannon this fall as a sophomore, majoring in math. In addition to being a two-sport athlete, he has a work-study job in the math center.

Hoffman spent the summer working for a masonry company, lifting, and playing summer baseball for a local squad, Hickory of the Mercer-Crawford County League.
