Nelson is expected to be a starter up front for the fourth consecutive season ... enters the season fifth all-time at Gannon in assists (123) and 13th in points (150).

2009: Started every match for the third consecutive season … named to the All-PSAC Western Division second team … was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … named to the IWLCA Academic squad … dished out 58 assists, the third-highest single-season total in school history … recorded 66 points, the 23rd-highest single-season mark in school history … led the PSAC and ranked second among NCAA Division II players in assists per match (3.62) … finished second nationally in assists and 36th in points … dished out an assist in every match, extending her streak to 28 contests … recorded at least five assists seven times … had a season-high six assists during victories against Queens (N.C.) and Slippery Rock … added five assists against Indiana (Pa.) twice … also had five assists versus Edinboro, Kutztown and Lock Haven.
